Sources
Upload data, directly connect apps, or connect Zapier to ingest new feedback, customers, and backlogs
Sources
Inari uses 3 main Sources
for high-quality customer data to surface insights and product opportunities from:
- Feedback: ingest new pieces of customer feedback, user interviews, support threads, sales conversations, and other data formats where users share feedback to be analyzed
- CRMs: connecting with CRMs to enrich customer and company attributes that are used throughout Inari to improve context and prioritization metrics
- Backlogs: connecting with backlogs to pull in active issues and enrich them with context captured in feedback, CRMs, and insights
Add Feedback
In the Add Feedback
tab, Inari provides several direct integrations and Zapier connections to automatically ingest and analyze new pieces of feedback.
Every data source uploaded to Add Feedback
will show up in your Feedback
page and be automatically analyzed for product insights after.
Connect CRM
In the Connect CRM
tab, Inari provides the option to connect your HubSpot and Salesforce accounts to enrich all customers and companies with context from your CRM.
The main fields we ingest from CRMs include:
- Name: customer and company names
- Description: context about the company and verticals they operate in
- Email: used to deduplicate customers
- Domain: used to deduplicate customers and companies
- Revenue Impact: pulling in CRM values like
ARR
orDeal Size
to better estimate importance of insights and issues in Inari - Type: pulling in CRM company statuses to determine whether they’re prospects, active, or churned
- Stage: pulling in CRM pipeline stages to determine whether they’re leads, qualified, won, lost
Only 1 CRM can be connected to an org at a given time. Once connected, Inari pulls in the exact fields from the CRM and stays in sync hourly as data is updated.
Source Statuses
Each data source has statuses to guide teams on how to interact with them:

- In Progress: Data source has been parsed and is analyzing
- Upload Failed: Data source was not parsed successfully; likely data formatting issues
- Parse Failed: Data source was not parsed successfully; likely data formatting issues
- Deleting: Data source is actively being deleted or has already been cleared
- Out of Credits: Data source was parsed successfully but analysis was paused since the org ran out of credits. You can resume by upgrading the account and adding more credits
If your org runs into any upload issues, please contact us and we’ll resolve ASAP.
Delete Source
Each data source can be deleted by hitting the Trash
icon (🗑️) in the Sources
page. This will completely remove the data source from Inari, along with all feedback artifacts, highlights extracted, and associations with existing insights and issues.
This is an irreversible action and Inari does not retain any of the data.
Updating Spaces for a Source

it’s triaged into updated by visiting the Edit
page (✏️).
Add, edit, or delete the spaces assigned in the Spaces
dropdown then press Update Data Source
. This will update the triage assignment for the data source so that feedbacks can be used for generating new insights in different spaces moving forward.
